Subject: Directory Assistance LDAP Setup Error "Connection failed"
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

I've set up a DA on one of our domino servers. Now trying to add an entry for an LDAP service on (Microsoft Active Directory).

Anytime I try to verify the setup I get...

"Connection to host 'servername.company.co.uk:389' failed"

I've confirmed LDAP is available on the host server and I can telnet to the host server on port 389. Can anyone suggest what is causing this problem? Does this bind request rely on anonymous read access being configured on the LDAP server?
